01Overview
This Intellectual Property Policy explains how ownership, licensing, use, and protection of materials are handled in connection with Deep Afternoon services.
Our work may include learning sequences, educational frameworks, resource libraries, workshop structures, worksheets, written content, annotations, research organization, implementation notes, and other educational materials.
02Deep Afternoon Materials
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Deep Afternoon retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, templates, frameworks, educational architecture approaches, internal processes, know-how, reusable systems, design logic, and proprietary instructional structures.
03Client Materials
Clients retain ownership of materials they provide to Deep Afternoon, including existing documents, notes, brand materials, internal content, research files, subject matter materials, and proprietary information.
04Delivered Work Product
Ownership and use rights for delivered work product are governed by the applicable written service agreement or project brief. Unless otherwise stated, the client receives a limited, non-exclusive license to use final delivered materials for the agreed internal, educational, or organizational purpose.
05Permitted Use
- Use final materials within the agreed scope and audience.
- Share materials with approved internal participants or agreed stakeholders.
- Use implementation notes to support the intended educational experience.
- Request revisions or expanded usage rights through a written agreement.
06Prohibited Use
- Do not present Deep Afternoon materials as accredited, certified, or credential-granting content.
- Do not remove proprietary notices or attribution where required by agreement.
- Do not copy or adapt our methods into competing commercial offerings without written permission.
- Do not distribute materials beyond the approved audience or use case.
07Third-Party Materials
Some projects may include references to third-party books, articles, tools, platforms, datasets, media, or educational resources. Third-party materials remain subject to the rights, licenses, and restrictions of their respective owners.
